John Wellington Jay
In partnership with community and law enforcement agencies, The District Attorney's Office is responsible for the investigation of crimes committed in the County of Alameda and prosecution of those who violate the law. Divisions of the Office include Criminal, Juvenile, Consumer & Welfare Fraud, Victim/Witness and Grand Jury.
The District Attorney's Office is committed to crime prevention, victim's rights and public safety. The Office has led the way by playing a key role in the creation of the Family Justice Center, a single location where victims of crime can find help and answers.
The District Attorney has eleven offices located in Alameda County to serve the public.
